One of the most important things about Duke basketball is their history. One question that I had about it was when it first started. The first season was in 1905-06 which was about 112 seasons. When they had their first season they only had five games because there was not many other college basketball teams playing at that time. They lost three and won two games. Their coach was Cap Card and he only coached for six years. Another thing that was important in Duke history was a famous game. I think that one of Dukes important games was when Christian Laettner had scored the game winning basket in overtime, beating Kentucky 104-103 to advance to the final four. They got an amazing pass to him, he did a spin move, shot and swished it. Another thing that I think is important in Duke history is their jerseys and something important about them. There was a black circle with the letters KB in the inside of the circle. This had a very big meaning to coach K. This patch stands for Keith Brody, who was a professor at Duke and was also very close to coach K so they keep memory of him.
